About Echizen Gaki:
Echizen Gaki (tileware) is crafted using natural clay sourced from the Hokuriku region. While mass-produced tableware typically uses pre-mixed clay to achieve a uniform appearance and minimize individual variations, we deliberate;y keep processing to a minimum to honor the clays inherent character. This approach results in table ware with unique textures and tactile qualities—where no two pieces are ever truly alike. Just as these roof tiles have long harmonized with the landscapes of Echizen, they bring a gentle warmth and harmony to your dining table, complementing a wide variety of dishes.
Care Instructions:
- Natural Variations: Due to the nature of ceramics, each piece features unique variations in color, texture, and shape.
- Preventing Stains: Serving oily foods directly on the dish may cause staining. Soaking the plate in water for a few minutes prior to use will help prevent oil absorption.
- Surface Protection: Please handle with care and avoid dragging the dish across tabletop surfaces, as it may cause scratches.
